Tuffy P just got back last night from a trip to Philly with our friend Suzanne. She's given me the green light to feature some of the many photos she shot. I'll post a few a day over the next several days. I hope you enjoy them.

Hit the Road Jack

A few years ago, way back when Tuffy P wasn't so Tuff, she was a card-carrying member of the Stampeders fanclub. She even when went to malls to get their autograph. Now that's devotion. Well, the Stampeders are back, it seems, and they played the CNE last night. Tuffy wasn't there (her grumpy hubby wouldn't go), but she found this video from last night and has warned me, "Next time you better go, or you'll have to hit the road, Jack".

Today, Tuffy and I celebrated our 6th anniversary. We went for dinner to a very nice Portuguese place on College St. Lovely seafood. It reminded us of last year at this time when we celebrated our anniversary in Portugal!

The cake is a carrot swirl number and the bisquits are 2-cheese Saturday Night Scones.

I grabbed some post-in notes from a shelf in the kitchen today and came up with this old note from Tuffy P....."Gone to bank....Warning: Do not place anything on top of dessert in fridge or I'll go mental". Thanks

Tuffy P has a brush with fame

Tuffy spied a fellow on the plane from L.A. to Toronto she thought she recognized. In the luggage area in Toronto, she approached him and said, "Excuse me but you are the best-dressed and most handsomest man in the airport tonight....would you be Herbie Hancock", and he said, "Yes I am", and they shook hands. Then Tuffy asked if he was in town for the Joni Mitchell tribute and he said he was, and said she was an amazing musician.

The guy standing next to Tuffy sat behind Herbie for the 5 hour flight, knew he was somebody famous but didn't know who he was, but thought Tuffy did and asked her. Turns out, this fellow was also kind of famous as he is the creator of the world's only graphite violins, Len John. Some of you may have seen the television documentary about him.
