I think this is some kind of stalked polypore but I haven't got an ID on it yet.

mister anchovy said...: I'm told this is likely Polyporus squamosus, commonly known as Dryad's saddle.

It is an edible mushroom, but perhaps marginally so.; 3:38 p.m.
