The music room

Our electrician has finished rewiring the little bedroom which will become my music room (replacing old knob and tube wiring with the newer, safer stuff), so tonight I painted it. Tomorrow, I'll clean the floor, toss in an area rug and hang some paintings, both to make it a pleasant place to be, and to dampen the sound some. Right now, there is a lot of echo in there. Last night, I picked a little tune on my banjmo (it's a mountain dulcimer with a banjo body) in there, and it just about sounded electric. I'm very happy to now have a dedicated music room (if I was a better player, I'd call it a studio - har!). Eventually, I'd like to add some home recording equipment, and then it really will be a studio. That will be later though (for instance, if I sell a couple paintings....want to buy some paintings?). I'll post some pictures once my instruments are in.
