Remembering Jeff Healey

I was lucky enough to see him and the Jazz Wizards at the Calgary Folk Festival a couple of years ago. They lit up the stage with their obvious joy in performing.

Healey had an amazing radio show out here...I don't know if you picked it up in your neck of the woods or not...all about 1920s jazz. He apparently had a huge collection of that music.

Years ago (back in the wild years), I was in an after-hours place called The Matador, and Healey sat in with a country group and made the music amazing. He really was an inspired performer.
