A new Anchovy World Headquarters?
After deciding that the prices we received for our proposed renovation were simply too outrageous for us to consider, we've shifted to plan B, which is to try to find a bigger and better Anchovy World Headquarters. We think we can find what we need in terms of space and other requirements for way fewer canadianos that it would have cost to do the reno. We're a bit sad to not be able to create the custom-made Anchovy Can we had hoped for, but it is amazing how easily your focus can shift in the face of impossible prices.
So, we're narrowing down our requirements, talking about neighbourhoods, figuring out a budget and so on. It will be a shame to leave our back garden, especially since I did so much work on it last year, but on the other hand, that work can only enhance the value of our house.
I'll keep you posted on our progress

Ah, househunting...I'm sorry you have to move, but I hope you find something totally awesome. How long have you lived in your current Anchovy HQ?
Good luck. I have bought and sold a few times, and the best thing has to be setting foot in houses with the most extreme cases of bad taste and perplexing arrangements, like carpeting going up the walls, etc.
Good luck!
I foresee stressful times ahead... for the feline population! (They hate moving, don't they?)
WC...you saw the layers and layers of art and stuff that define our living space....we really need to spread out a bit
Red...yes it will be stressful for the lions, but they'll get over it eventually.
Sounds like a plan!
Househunting can be an adventure...just think you can design another garden! I also think it will be good to have more space to work in especially for Tuffy P although she works miracles with the space she does have now.
Good luck!
We did some informal househunting ourselves...but mor e in the area of a massive doomsday cult location. I called this one place which was amazing, it had a steel structure for spray painting trucks on the property and a little shack and bbq area...turns out it also included a couple of houses... but it was a mil and half. Seems it takes a lot of dinero to start a doomsday cult...even in the east end...
While it is always sad to leave a home it is very exciting to start anew. Once the stress is over for the kitties I think they'll enjoy checking out their new home.
Good luck with the search.
Good luck!
Keep us posted, preferably with pictures. ;)
