It's back - The Postcard Challenge
Both these postcards were mailed in the 70's, eh. Each of the places depicted is in some way or another associated with a musician. I'm looking for the names of the two places and the names of the two musicians.
The deadline: Saturday midnight (unless someone gets the correct answers first)
The prize: A digitally produced artwork, made by me, printed out on genuine paper right here at Anchovy World Headquarters, and mailed to your home.
This one isn't easy, but I have faith in my readership....I think there will be a winner.

Ok here is my guess: Salt Spring Island & the musicians are: Valdy, and Randy Bachman of BTO. I'm done taking care of business. LOL
Hmmm, interesting fist answer. My only comment is that your assumption that both postcards depict the same locale is not correct. I believe you gave me two musicians from the same place, no? I'm looking for two places with a musician from each of the places.
I mean first answer...can't type tonight...

I'm working on it. This is a really tough one.
If I made them too easy, it wouldn't be nearly as much fun.
The top card strongly resembles the gulf of Mexico and the state of Florida with surprising eruption from the city of Clearwater. The musicians must be CCR.
The bottom image calls to mind an excellent art work found at:

The musician is clearly Tony Hatch, composer of "Downtown".

Clues...both places are surrounded by water, but they're nowhere near one another....
