James Barber RIP

James Barber has died at 84.

My first exposure to Mr. Barber was his first TV show, The Fry Pan Man. He lived on a boat as I recall, and showed viewers how to prepare good food in a single cast iron pan. Later, he had a longer running and more popular show called The Urban Peasant. He was also a columnist and a writer of cookbooks. Mr. Barber apparently died while reading a cookbook with a pot of soup on the stove. Good way to check out. RIP

Aw...he was great. Anita credits him for helping her learn howto cook. She used to watch his show in the day...go to the store and buy ingredients then make the dish that night.

I believe my sis, the underground baker knew him...or worked on the show or something.
