Mercury taints trout in famed Silver Creek

My friend East Texas Red sent me this article via our pal eken2. The Silver Creek Preserve is a remarkable place, one of my favourite spots in North America. It's so sad to read that there is mercury pollution even in this beautiful spring creek. They don't seem to know how it got there.

Update: here is some more information

Just sad.

If it's that bad in America just imagine the countries that don't have even our lazy laws protecting the wildlife as in Canada in America...and ours aren't even...

No one cares.

Companies and agricultural organizations just pay fines...

...and none of us know what little changes in attitude or lifestyle we might be able to make to help.

All of our lives are interconnected but what do we do?
