patio job 'bogged' down in rain....
I finished up the wall this morning. I had miscalculated on the wall stone and needed 21 more stones. I drove up and picked them up early this morning and installed them in the rain. I started to excavate the excess fill (which will be used for raised gardens), but everything was very wet from the rains last night and this morning. If the weather changes and we have a dry day tomorrow, I hope to finish the excavate (a couple hours work at most), lay the landscape cloth, lay the gravel and tamp it, and maybe even get the patio stones down.
The next job will be to get rid of a stump, and do the prep work for some stones around the entrance to my studio, and the path down the yard. After that, I'll work out the gardens.
I knew this was a big job, but it turns out it is a big HEAVY job. Fortunately, I need the exercise.

No home renovation job is complete without at least one trip/day to the store!
When we're working on a project, Menards sends out a search party if we're not in there every day. ;)
I'd MUCH rather lay block than grub out a stump, and I HATE laying block!
I take a pretty dim view of people who finish what they start.
hee hee oh L.M. you slay me.
Um, sheesh thank god for the rain...maybe you could squeeze ina day of drywalling or forgo and get beer and play go?!
Um I tried to find the meaning of the word escivate and my dictionary broke.
ok minx, i fixed the spelling problem.
When your work is done you'll enjoy big time and think of all the cash you are saving by working out in your back yard!
I can't wait to see the finished project! It sounds like it's going to be beautiful!
