It still looks bare up front, in part because the umbrella katalpa hasn't leafed yet. Like everyone else who has them in our neighbourhood, I prune ours agressively in the spring. They grow like crazy once they start. Back yard pictures soon....

Oh, it's going to be pretty. You'd better post a pic when that tree blooms! :D
I have the pleasure of having to dig up almost everything in my back garden to get rid of the Lily of the valley. (no such thing as getting rid of it, it all has t bedestroyed in order to just thin it out for a few years) Choking everything out at this point. Nasty roots. (dug up the front garden last year to thin out the infestation of a pernicious poppy that won't be killed by anything else)
That's going to be quite lovely when the tree blooms. I love the leaves on those trees. Can't wait to see future pictures.
Next week I work on the new back patio.....
I'm pretty damn jealous of your back garden.
Nice. I love Florida, but I miss ROCKS! What is the pretty pink tree to the left? I remember the Katalpa (sp?) trees in Missouri - they were awesome trees.
Gardenia,
I think it's called a sand cherry.
