I was back at African drumming class tonight after missing it for two weeks. Tonight's teacher was Njacko Backo, an excellent teacher. You can see a video clip of one of his intermediate classes here, and a video of an advanced class here, both located on his website.

That's so fun that you have a video of yourteacher. I love the kids crying in the backgorund. Stagg is going to sign up for bass lessons a(and drumming) at the Old Twon School of Folk soon. He just took his bass in to get fixed.
That's great - I think Stagg would be a brilliant drummer, he's so full of rhythm.
Hi Mr. A.
That is a cool link. Njacko is a brilliant instructor. I see he does lessons at his studio on Sundays!
What great videos Mr. Anchovy!
Thanks for sharing. Being in the drum circle isn't the same as being able to stand back and watch and listen. Even the simple "Base, tone, slap" sounded good.
Our teacher has been teaching us the bass drum and bell as well. We are getting ready for a performance next month.
It is so fun.
