I can't believe...
....there is an entire television program dedicated to criticizing the dresses of movie stars prior to the Acadamy Awards.

Yes, and some of us eat it up! The silverhaired guy Jay Thomas is from Toronto.
whose dress did you like the best? I like Racheal Wietzs the best
:)
They have the same shows on here too. Crazy! I must say though, that I did not like Celine Dion's dress at all. The poofiness around her hips made her look "fat".
I couldn't handle it...after ten minutes I went and did something else.... I have to confess I only watched a small part of the actual awards programming too, just enough to remind me that I don't enjoy awards shows.... Instead I shovelled snow and went to bed early.
It's sickening isn't it? But if I had to chose a favourite, I loved Kate Winslet, Cate Blanchett and Helen Mirren's dresses.
Oh, I certainly can. People eat it up, too.
I loved Gwyneth Paltrow's dress, but over all, the dresses were boring this year. All one colour and all similar styles.
There just wasn't enough gown happening there. I got tired of seeing all the tuxedos on stage.
Helen Mirren rocks.
Five for; one against... Mister Anchovy. That's why there are entire television shows.....
I don't get it...instead they could be showing reruns of the old Harry Hibbs TV show, or some other quality programming.
I didn't see that part but it is a big business. The designers count on their work getting some Oscar advertising. It's part of the whole Am. dream that's being created right?
I always had a secret desire to be a designer - so I do watch the clothing parts of the awards - but actually when you think of the criticisms - I mean how haughty for someone to critique the dresses like that - and the menswear too - but that's probably fashion - I even liked the movie, "The Devil Wears Prada." Or should I admit it?
Hey, I was sure I commented on this post - something about Cate's dress, and it's not here. Maybe I forgot to submit?
Jeez fish, I didn't see it....maybe it's a Blogger conspiracy?
you never know.
