walk, last part
It is cloudy now, but when we went walking late this morning, it was a lovely, sunny, crisp day. We walked down to St. Clair, turned down across the tracks and behind the pumping station on Junction Ave. We said hi to the playful guard dogs, and continued over to Keele, past the old Canadian Tire store, and headed west on Dundas through the old Junction shopping district. We passed Lynett's funeral home, Marsh's Woodstoves, past the place where my dad had his little window factory when I was growing up (for rent in the front, no parking in the back), down Runnymede past the Jumbo burger (when I was a little kid it was June & Bill's diner). At St. Clair we headed east past the box stores where the old stock yards used to be, past the new housing development, up old Weston Rd past the Jerk joint and home.
(for those who don't know, these images were shot in west Toronto in the areas known as St. Clair Gardens, The Junction and The Stockyards).
