Choosing the right hat

Now me, I've been alternating between the tightly woven straw job with the Mexican flair I bought in Nashville, and the little stovepipe straw job I bought with Stagg in the Windy City.

Mr. Anchovie-Thank you for all the info of and about hats!!!When I was younger I never let the intended sexuality of the hat intimidate me because I didn't care. I was just as willing to buy a hat at a new store as a resale shop or garage sale.As the Emperor of all Ephemera I'll let everyone know why I like hats-it is because it stems from my childhood-adults thought I was hard of hearing when they called me-but I was to far into my pretend world to answer.I became officer good cop or fire chief-at those moments I was no longer STAGG! Hats are cool-I've seen conservatives turn up their noses at me and I've caught the attention of the alternafacetackle crowd! Just with hats.

How timely a post!
Yesterday, I went to a hat store and bought one straw version to keep from being sunburnt and put another slighty expensive one on hold - even though it does little to stop the sun - until payday. (I did see and try on a totally awesome hat but when I noticed that it cost $320, I put it down.)
To top it all off, I received a rather lovely hair accessory yesterday. It's been a hat and hair kind of week
I too am a lover of hats! I am particularly fond of baseball and driving caps, but also love broad brimmed hats, drover hats, and the like. The hat I wear usually reflects my mood.
The only "functional" hat I own is my Tilley hat I wear on long canoe trips.
