Mardi Gras in New Orleans

After the disaster in New Orleans not so many months ago, who would have thought Mardi Gras would be happening? New Orleans has been out of the news for a while, but I'm sure that doesn't mean all is well. Does anyone know the state of rebuilding efforts?
