Well, there could be if he died. I think any charges are left up to the victim to lay at this point in American law. Not sure I'm just an armchair Law and Order lawyer.

The thing that kills me is, it's pretty clear that if the gal who owned the ranch hadn't ratted Dick out to the local newspaper, Cheneys office was gonna try to cover the whole thing up.
