Gushue goes for curling gold

I scoffed at curling for years (it isn't much of a spectator sport, that's for sure). Then, about 4 years ago, I had an opportunity to curl with some people from work. We received some lessons in the fundimentals, then gave it our best shot. First off all, it was tremendous fun. Secondly, it was way harder than I expected. So, I don't make fun of it anymore....

So good luck to Brad Gushue and his rink as they go for gold on Friday.

As a kid I was always fascinated by curling. I used to watch CROSS CANADA CURLING every Saturday afternoon.

Next to Hockey, it is still my favorite Olympic sport to watch!

Curling is fantastic to play and to watch live (not good TV though IMHO). It is also as you say highly skilled - people dismiss it but let them try and get 45 pounds of granite to an exact place a rink's length away.....

I actually really enjoy watching curling, myself.
