Bob Dylan & Johnny Cash

I think Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash are alike in a number of ways, and along the way, they've sung together and played one each other's tunes. Here are some examples....

This is from The Johnny Cash Show in 1969

In the studio.... how can Bob sing chewing gum like that?

Bob does Johnny...

...and again...

And finally, Johnny and June play It Ain't Me Babe, and dedicate it to Bob and Sara Dylan and little Jesse

We have lots of both of these great musician's albums! Love them. I hadn't heard them together though. My regret was not seeing Johnny Cash in concert. I did see Dylan, it was awesome. He really "rocked" despite that sort of deadpan way he presents.

I think I've picked the Crawfish fest - will let you know if the zydeco is anygood. Crawfish, I'm not crazy about, nor the fried gator tails.

Agreed. Dylan and Johnny Cash do have much in common. I remember discovering North Country Fair as a Bob Dylan fan and calling up my dad to play the song on the album (it was all LPs then) He listened over the phone and knew Johnny Cash right away, but didn't know Dylan at all. I think at the time I was trying to bridge some gap between me and my dad or maybe I saw that we had a lot in common too just like Dylan and Cash.
