Another CD review - West, by Lucinda Williams

There was a time when I just couldn't get into Lucinda Williams' music. That was until I heard Lake Charles, a tune that I could listen to over and over again all day (just ask Tuffy P). Last year, when we were down in Nashville with Candy and Stagg, we got to see Lucinda at the old Ryman Auditorium in Nashville...you should have heard her sing that old Bobby Gentry tune, Ode to Billy Joe.

Anyway, Ms Williams has a new CD out called West and it's fantastic.

mister anchovy says - this one gets a bayou full of the tastiest salties around. Beautiful!!

I have Car Wheels on a Gravel Road, and I like it very much.

What good news that you are loving this album. We will be checking it out. Her version of Ode To Billy Joe was so amazing, better than th original perhaps and was one of the highlights of that concert!
