lots of kids

scary cat, originally uploaded by mister anchovy.

Lots of kids out trick-or-treating on our street tonight. I would say we had well over 200 over them between 6 and 8, when we finally ran out of goodies. There were plenty of delightful constumes. I particularly enjoyed the kid in the bushy bear suit! Of course, there were also those who just don't get it and make no effort at all, but that isn't going to change. Lots of fun.

Love your decoration! No one came here - but this apt is off I-80 in an industrial area. Spooky enough anytime.

That is one scary looking cat. Did you buy that on eBay or something?

No kids here, was downtown all day yesterday and saw lots of costumes. At one point I was near some of the art schools...and been outside for hours walking and saw these people in shorts and knee socks and legwarmers. I was like, wow these art students are reallt crazy. Then I realized duh! it's halloween!

You and Tuffy must be the most-loved katz on the block, man. You gave treats to 200 kids?! That's insane. I love Canada more and more (so much so that it's on our shortlist of destinations for next summer!). We didn't hear any knocks (we were working till 7:30pm, though), and even if we had, we wouldn't have opened the door. What a pair of grouches, huh?

Because there are so many small children in my neighbourhood, every Halloween I invite a bunch of childless pals to sit on my porch to drunkenly gloat and make fun of their costumes. We got over 200 kids too and all were surprisingly un-intimidated by Ed Pien's more serious critiques. I sensed that they were willing to put up with the most inebriated art-speak if there was candy in it for them.

We would love to meet you guys, too, if we get to Toronto, so we'll keep you posted on that.
