Sometimes you just need a Mexican Polka

....and nothing else will do. Try this one on for size: The El Rancho Grande Polka, by Los Gavilanes. I love the beautiful lightness about the Mexican polka tradition, with the button box flying through the melody and the bajo sexto bringing the beat to life. Much different than the "push" style Polish American take on the polka from the midwest (check out The Dynatones or Walt Solek of Who Stole the Keeshka fame, or even Li'l Wally).
