Art School Confidential

Last week, I reviewed the novel The Cheese Monkeys, by Chip Kidd, set in an art school.... and tonight, Tuffy and I went to see a quirky little film called Art School Confidential. Both the novel and this movie took advantage of every art school cliche you could imagine, and that works well for both. In the film, there is a romantic subplot, and a campus strangler subplot. The film is goofy and funny, but sometimes I found myself laughing the laugh of recognition - art schools are oddball places.

Art School Confidential is a fun little movie, quirky and campy and well worth seeing. It has some oddball and unlikely plot twists, and I won't spoil those here. On the 5 fish anchovy scale, I rate this one 3.5 salties.
