Dental Work and Christmas Shopping

I've taken the day off work today to take care of some dental work, and to do some Christmas shopping. I'm not great at negotiating crowds at this time of year, so I'm not sure which activity is potentially more painful. I have a gentle dentist.

On the weekend, I was at my local Loblaws....and was pleasantly surprised that they were having a turkey drive for Second Harvest. They had a set up in the store with a large freezer full of turkeys beside a cash register. They were actively encouraging shoppers to buy one of these turkeys for donation to Second Harvest, to help out folks who needed one. I was happy to fork out the $20 to do my part. Kudos to Loblaws for making this happen in their stores!
