Stout wins competition to design Edmonton gallery

I guess it would be too much to ask for a Canadian architect to create the design for this gallery....

Your point is well taken; however, hiring a high priced international architect does not guarantee a more interesting building. More likely, it will be a building that looks pretty similar to the other buildings of its type around the world designed by the same handful of characters. I think it is good to promote the work of people living and working in the community.
