That's Mike, settling in for a long ride on the ACR. The train averages only about 25 miles per hour on its way from the Sault up to Hearst and back. It stops at all sorts of places, wherever anyone wants to get off. And flagstops are not uncommon, either. Somebody wants on and flags down the train. It is a pretty casual and remarkable train line. We took the train to mile 136, then stayed on for an extra couple miles along the lake to give another party a head start down the river. We didn't think that later that very evening, we would catch up.....
