A Catfight over Allergy-Free Kitties

This is courtesy of Tim Noonan - thanks Tim for sending me the link. I used to have a pretty severe cat allergy, and now I live with 6 cats. My friend Candy said she thought I could get over the allergy by eating bee pollin and having a cat around, but washing the cat once each month. I was dating the beautiful Mrs. Anchovy at the time, and she had a cat, Twiggy, Supreme Commander of the Universe, Goddess of War. I also read that Oriental Shorthairs, a breed of cat bred out of Siamese for colour, had low dander, so I sought out an Oriental Shorthair - Willie, named after Blind Willie McTell, the blues singer. I don't know how, but it seemed to work. I have had few reactions in the last dozen years!

Today was sunny and not so cold. The Shadow and Jerry were both out in the yard for most of the day. Most of the cats in the hood came by for a visit. Jerry is holding his own. It looked like the sore on his shoulder was healing and the one on his chest was just about healed, so we thought the mild steroid he has been taking was working, but in the last week or so, he's managed to open up the sores again. His appetite is good and he's playful, though, and we're happy about that.
