Alan Davie

I've been thinking about alan Davie lately, known as "Scotland's Greatest Painter". I wonder if he is still painting? There are a few nice pictures of his work on this site. Writers tend to associate him with the Ab Ex characters, but I think he is really a much more playful painter than those guys...if anything, closer to CoBrA.
