Almost everyone I know in Toronto has had at least one bike stolen

Nice to see some good news, eh?

But it's too bad the police couldn't do more.

My bike was stolen from my college campus. When I spoke with the cops about it, the officer concerned said "Oh--The bike farm ..."

The college was a small city block from the cop shop. I think what many, if not most, cops nowadays don't seem to dig is that we often just want to hear a little genuine sympathy. Or at least that "We are mightily in pursuit of the wrongdoer!"

Ideally with a straight face.
