Tom Russell with Michael Martin at Hugh's Room

Tom Russell played Hugh's Room tonight accompanied by guitar and mandolin whiz Michael Martin. Great show! Tom Russell is one of my personal favourite songwriters and performers. They played two long sets featuring some of the best and most popular tunes from Russell's catalogue as well as a few covers, such as Peter La Farge's Ballad of Ira Hayes and Bob Dylan's Love Minus Zero No Limit.
Here's a clip of Russell and Martin from last August, singing Gallo del Cielo. Some readers will know Ian Tyson's version or Joe Ely's version of this tune, both excellent.
