The return of Paulino Bernal
I came across this interesting article about the return of Paulino Bernal to Conjunto music, a genre he had abandoned many years ago after being "born again". Conjunto is music from Texas, from the border country, featuring a number of forms including the corrido, the bolero, the ranchera and best of all the polka. Paulino Bernal was an important figure in the evolution of this music. I love his playing!

I really enjoyed that article. He looks great standing on the Grammy red carpet. I like how he said he never felt he was playing the devil music.
