Today I received a prize in the mail. Wow, I hardly ever win anything. This time, though, I won a draw over at Let's Polka for a copy of Blair Kilpatrick's book, Accordion Dreams - A Journey into Cajun and Creole music.
When I heard about this book I was immediately interested because Ms. Kilpatrick didn't start playing accordion until she turned 40. This resonates with me because I started playing the triple-row button accordion when I was about 42. I hope to start reading Accordion Dreams in the next few days.
