Nuclear subs collide in the Atlantic

I am not making this up.

The thing is, there's a lot of Atlantic out there, and how many nuclear subs? Maybe more than we know. One thing for sure, they're better at hiding themselves than they are at detecting others.

Stephane Lhomme, a spokesman for the French anti-nuclear group Sortir du Nucleaire, said his organization is checking the French coastline for evidence of any leak of radioactive material.

"This reminds us that we could have a new catastrophe with a nuclear submarine at any moment," Lhomme said.

I really don't understand how this stuff can still happen in a world where people can make cellphones smaller than the nail on your pinky.

I know they didn't have any windows they could look out of to see if anyone was in their way but honestly, they had the whole Atlantic ocean and just happened to run into each other?

In other words, "Who's flying the plane?"
