Café du Lac - a taste of Québec

We've been aware of Café du Lac, located just down the road in Mimico, since we moved to Longbranch, and tonight we finally dined there to celebrate Valentines Day. There were two seatings tonight, at 6:00 and 8:00 and a fixed price limited menu for the occasion. The restaurant was busy. Service was friendly and the food quite good.

I particularly enjoyed their poutine, something I don't have very often. They make it with bits of pulled short ribs of beef. Nice texture, and very tasty with a cool natural ale from Quebec!
