Don't start me talkin...I'll tell everything I know


Don't Start me Talkin was written by Sonny Boy Williamson (II) back in the 50s. Mr. Williamson wrote some of the most compelling blues lyrics I know.

Bob Dylan pulled this one out of his hat, performing it on Letterman back in 84:

Great song, I'm still working on my harmonica playing while singing this song. Sonny Boys timing was so good that he can sing and play like it is no big deal.

boy, what a blues singer - down town blues!!!!!!! He can make that harp tell the story!

I think Fitzgerald hits the nail on the head. Sonny Boy's timing, and especially his use of pauses was so expressive.
