Wanted - a movie review

I watched Wanted this afternoon. What a tremendously stupid movie. It had lots of well-done action effects, some remarkably bad acting, a lame script, and a silly premise. If all you need is a roller-coaster ride, maybe you'll like this one. Not me.

On the Anchovy 5-fish Rating Scale, the can was defective and wouldn't open and all the salties were stuck inside.

I wonder if Angelina Jolie is just overrated for an Oscar-winner or she plain makes bad choices...I enjoyed Girl, Interrupted but haven't seen her in anything else that's been decent.

I don't know WC. I've never seen her in anything else. They gave her 15 or 20 lines to speak in the movie, which she did as deadpan as possible. I think she was in the film for her freakish comic-book-like good looks.

Thanks for the warning, Mr. A. If there's one person who irks me in films, it's AJ (well and J Roberts too). Thought that the action might make it worthwhile, but you've just saved me the $s. TY!

Here's a review from someone who hasn't seen it, and doesn't plan to:

When the trailer shows the hero and heroine "snapping" their guns with their wrists, apparently to make the bullet travel faster, it's godforsaken junk. If you've seen Tomb Raider, you've seen Jolie in better action. If you saw Hackers then you've seen better acting. My vote: rent a Bond flick.
