My hockey comment of the year
Let's try to imagine just how much better this year the Stanley Cup champ Redwings were compared to our hapless ever-losing Leafs. Wow.
Watch a hockey game in mid-season. Then watch a playoff game. It's like they are completely different games. What if only the teams who made the playoffs got paid and everyone else got nothing? That would stir things up a bit.
Some people say hockey players make too much money. I think their job is as important as any number of jobs out there, their careers are short, their knees get banged up, they lose their teeth. A yearly salary of $100-120k isn't out of line for a top player.
What, they get paid more than that?
No kidding?
