So what's happening with that renovation?.....

We've narrowed things down to two basic options, one more involved than the other. Now we're getting some prices from different contractors to see just what the whole business will cost, and to find the right contractor to do it. We're not sure yet what it will reasonably cost to get the results we're looking for. At a certain price-point it stops making sense to renovate, because for the same money we could find a house that meets our needs fully without all the issues associated with construction. We're hoping we can find a good reputable contractor who can do the job within our budget.
