New Orleans
Tuffy P and I are back from vacation. We took a lot of pictures! I'll start with some shots taken in New Orleans. We had a great time there. The French Quarter is in pretty good shape. I understand business is still down, and I was told that the population of the city is only about half of what it was pre-Katrina. We saw quite a number of buildings in the Quarter getting fresh paint jobs, but there are still a lot of areas in bad shape in the city. Lots of people told us hey be really careful in New Orleans, that it isn't safe even in the French Quarter - but that wasn't our experience. I felt a lot safer there than in many cities I've visited.

I am glad you had a good time. Thank you for trying to get the word out that the city needs people to visit. You are helping us by doing that and you can have a wonderful time to boot. Thanks for doing just that!
We really had a fabulous time, and we're telling our friends they should go, spend some money in the Quarter, and enjoy a great party.
