Eastern Promises

Viggo Mortensen does another great job for David Cronenberg in this mob thriller, but I didn't think the film was near as good as History of Violence. The characters were a little plastic and the story-line a little predictable. Oh, and there were a few nasty violent bits, where Cronenberg shows off what he can do when blood is involved.

On the 5-fish anchovy scale, I'm giving this one 2 3/4 salties.
