Cowboy music

I was listening to some old Ian Tyson tunes in the car today, so I thought I'd see if any of his cowboy material was up on YouTube. Here's Navaho Rug - Ian Tyson and the Chinook Arch Riders.

Here is The Gift, about the American "cowboy" painter, Charles M. Russell.

And here is Mr. Tyson, interviewed by Jerry Jeff Walker. This features the story of Four Strong Winds - Mr. Tyson wrote it - his first song - after hearing Bob Dylan play Blowin in the Wind.

Speaking of Four Strong Winds, here's Neil Young playing it.

Thanks for making me cry with Four Strong Winds.

Hey Mr. A. I was surprised to discover that Edmonton has an accordian society and just hosted a three day festival...go figure. Check it out here:

Thought you of all people would find it interesting.

I recently heard about the accordion festival out there, Karen. Geez, and I decided to go to San Antonio instead....

LM...I've been playing Four Strong Winds on the button accordion lately too....I could listen to the old Ian and Sylvia version 100 times in a row.
