Fire

Candy Minx left our place at about 8:00 this evening, and a few minutes later called from her cell, "Hey, do you guys know there are about 5 fire trucks in front of your house?"

Sure enough, there was a fire across the street and a few houses up. Smoke was coming up from the roof steadily but we saw no flames. You can see the firemen up there in this photo. They hacked through the roof in no time and the fire was under control pretty quickly - not without quite a bit of damage to the house though. Hopefully there is appropriate insurance to help get things fixed up quickly.
