Nine Queens
We watched this Argentinian film on the recommendation of our pal Candy Minx. It wasn't until we were 10 or 15 minutes into it that we realized we had seen it before. No matter. It's an excellent film and well worth watching again. Nine Queens is a grifter heist film. The tension in the film revolves around the relationship between two grifters. Are they conning one another?. The title refers to what we are told is a rare and valuable stamp sheet, and the plot revolves around selling a forgery (?) of the set to a collector. An excellent renter.
4/5 salties on the 5 fish anchovy rating scale.

I loved this film. So smart, in a way that Hollywood films seldom are.
I think Argentinian cinema is the one to watch, there's so much good stuff coming out of there. Have you seen Historias Minimas or Bombon el Perro?
Great movie this was. I suspect you know the director died shortly after finishing his second feature film. Great loss.
