those things got what they had coming to them!
The Romanian player reminded me of Taraf de Haidouks (Romani from Romania) and one song I particularly like called "dance in Turkish style" it builds and builds to a rhythm quite similar. This piece you posted reminded me of it. I had to dig out the cd and play it.
