Fence Update
Here is the fence as of this morning. As you can see, it's lower and there are fewer apples on the ground and fewer in the tree. This view faces my house, not the house of the moronic neighbours.
I also thought I'd include a picture of the huge pile of bear poop left near the tree. This picture barely (ha ha) does it justice; I don't think I've ever seen a pile of bear poop quite this big - and I've seen plenty, let me tell you.
I am less angry about this today, and more amused. I mean, it takes some mighty strength to bend a steel fence like this, a mighty gut to consume so many apples, and a mightily active intestinal tract to produce a hunk of scat that size. Score one for the bears! The mending of this fence will cost money and precious time, and the scooping of the poop will be unpleasant to say the least! Hopefully, a lesson will be learned.
But I'm not holding my breath.

That bear has clearly been feasting on apples.
Are you sure this isn't a rhinocerous and not a bear? Looks like rhino poop to me.
