BC Burning: Update
Here is the latest on the forest fire situation in southern BC. I awoke this morning to the smell of smoke and burning, and when I got up and looked out the window, there was a faint pink haze all around. The winds must have shifted overnight and drawn the smoke towards us.

Hope you folks don't have any breathing problems...its hard to tolerate days of smoke from fires. Also hope they don't get very close!
Hey, if you ever need to get outta town for the health of your lungs, I'm reasonably sure Mme and I could provide a shakedown. Drop a note on my blog if need arises.
During the Burns Bog fire I had to use an inhaler at least four times a day. The sky never got lighter than orange.
@Mr. Anchovy: thanks for the blogroll. I'll return the favour as soon as I can get into my template.
Super scary Wandering Coyote. How is the water supply situation at your place? That is what stood out for me in the article.
Sorry to hear about the fires. The world is going nuts, huh?
Metro: thanks so much! I'll let you know.
Candy: the water situation is getting worse. We already are on restrictions but they're apparently getting tougher as time goes by. I feel badly for the people who are without power in this heat!
Rhea: Yeah, but like I said in the previous post, this could be much worse.
Today I went to Trail to work for the morning, and it was extremely smokey...you could barely see the surrounding mountains. It's getting worse up here, too, and I think it's irritating my eyes...
Gorgeous kitty!
Sending you our rain, WC....
