button box allsorts

There are squeeze-boxes and there are squeeze-boxes. Here is an assortment that includes a bandoneons (from Argentina - for tangos), a chemnitzer concertina, and unidentified concertina, helikon boxes, and a tex-mex box. Enough to keep your local accordion freak off the streets.

These are lovely! Thanks for sharing.

I'm just learning to play. My Grandma played with the Button Box Band in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Frankie Yankovic was a family friend, being from the same region in Slovenia that Grandma's parents were from.

I'm planning some stops at accordion museums during my cross-country trip this summer. I'll share pictures, too. I always enjoy the accordion posts on your blog (among others).

It seems to me that there is a player in Rock Springs that I have met, named Otto who plays the 5-row Strasser and teaches at Joe Smiell's button box camp in California each summer.
