Computer crash and a trip to Halifax

Sorry I have not posted for a couple days - my computer stopped and won't start up again - some kind of power supply problem...there seems to be no power at the power-up button. This has happened twice before. The first time, I took it into the shop, where naturally, it worked just fine, what was the problem. The second time, I unplugged it, plugged it back in, turned it upside down, cursed at it, had a beer, unplugged it again, plugged it back in again, et voila, it started up. This time, no amount of cursing has helped.

Meanwhile, I'm off to Halifax early tomorrow morning - some of you will know that my alter ego Eugene Knapik has an exhibition opening Tuesday at NSCAD University's Anna Leonowens Gallery. I'll be back Thursday night, and I'm taking my computer into the shop on Friday morning.

So be patient, gentle readers....and please don't abandon ship when you see this blog idle for a week. I'll be back to it as soon as I can. Meanwhile, enjoy some of the excellent blogs linked on my sidebar.....

What a hassle! I guess that means I can't come over and play with your photo program.

Congratulations once again on your show in Halifax that is really wonderful!

Isn't that a pretty NEW computer you have there?

I hope you find time to get to the beach and have a beer in around corrupting the young minds of art students. Have fun we'll miss ya!

yes, the computer is only a couple years old.....I'm hoping it is something silly like a loose wire, but I suspect it will be something expensive, because that's the way the mop flops.

It could be the power cord needs to be replaced, I have similar problem with my cube, if the cord is not positioned just right...
Have a great time in Halifax, I would love to see the pics when you return.
I am off to Ottawa for a while and will check out the national gallery.
