What is Ben Hamper up to these days?

I was thinking about Ben Hamper's 1990 book, Rivethead, about his misadventures working for General Motors....and I wondered what he's up to these days. He has a page or two on Michael Moore's website.....

Hey that is good to read and nice to know he is working. When Canadian Bacon came out at Toronto film festival, Scott and I went and Michael Moore introduced the movie and then said his friend Ben Hmper was in the audience. I cheered and clapped. Among the very silent crowd. Seems I was the only one who had read Rivethead. But I was LOUD!!! Ok, Scott had read it but he was calm.

Rivetheads abound, true. But Rivetheads aren't the loose screw. His book pointed out how the entire economy and philosophy of work is greared to slackers upon slackers and self worth in the work place is a joke. I am kind of surprised that the Hamper book was never made into a movie...did you know that Confederacy of Dunces has been in production for quite a while now?
