Don Walser in the Car

Driving to and from Montreal, we listened to a lot of music in the car. One CD we could both agree on was Dare to Dream, featuring an assortment of songs by Don Walser, the so-called Pavarotti of the Plains. My friend East Texas Red introduced me to this music a year or so ago - it turned out I was familiar with one cut, Big Ball's in Cowtown, from the Horse Whisperer soundtrack. Mr. Walser has retired from his playing career, but his songs still sound great. Don Walser is from Austin, Texas. He is one of the best country yodlers I've heard. Here is a cut called Arkansas. I'm sure Mr. Walser would appreciate it if you bought the CD.
