Tom Hodgson of Painters Eleven dies

I heard this the other day - Tuffy said she saw it in the paper. But when I did an internet search, I found nothing until today.

For those who are not aware, the Painters Eleven were a group of Canadian painters who pioneered abstraction in Canada. These guys were national treasures in my books. They turned the stogy Ontario art world on its head.

You can see some of Mr. Hodgson's paintings here and here and a little about the Painters 11 here

Rest in Peace.

Stan told me that Tom used to own a restaurant down around Tecumseth and Niagara....right near the old studio.
